How booking works here
- Each park opens its season on its own launch day in January or February, usually at 8am local time.
- Most bookings are refunded in full (minus a fee) until 3 days before arrival, so cancellations bunch up just before that.
- West Coast Trail fees are only fully refundable 21 or more days before the start date. Lake O'Hara camping and bus bookings can be changed until 3:30pm the day before.
- Bookings are made on Parks Canada; we never book, hold or resell sites.

How do cancellation alerts for Cannontown work?
Set a watch with your first and last night. While someone is watching Cannontown we check Parks Canada every 5 to 10 minutes (every few hours otherwise). When any night in your range goes from booked out, closed or not yet released to having a site free, we alert you. Alerts are per night: we don't check that the same site is free for your whole stay or that it suits your party or vehicle, so confirm that on the booking page. The free plan emails you 15 minutes after we spot an opening; the Season pass (C$25 once, 12 months) alerts instantly by email, Telegram or browser push.
